Winter Camp

Winter Camp Registration is closed.

This winter, get ready to make new friends, learn a new game, and be the best team-player you can possibly be! We’ll play both on and off the court, use Stanford’s excellent facilities and bouldering wall, and cap off our week with a pizza lunch.

Stanford All-Sports Camp provides a combination of both planned and optional activities to give kids exposure to a variety of sports and recreational activities. Our enthusiastic and experienced counselors guide this multi-sport camp to provide a safe and fun environment for kids to play sports they already enjoy as well as try new activities.


All-Sports Camp will be located at the Arrillaga Center for Sports and Recreation (ACSR) Basketball Courts on 341 Galvez Street. Both drop off and pick up will be at the ACSR as well as all camp activities.

**If a Camper is deemed too young by the staff, we reserve the right to cancel camp for that camper.

Non-University Affiliates
9:00 – 3:00 pm – $350/4-day session

Refund Policy

Full payment for all programs as well as extended care and any additional financial options is due upon enrollment. $50 per camp week is considered a non-refundable deposit.

Changes to and/or withdrawals from camp sessions, including extended care, are subject to a $15 administrative fee per change.

The final day to get a refund (minus the non-refundable deposit) for Winter 2018 is Thursday, December 21. There will be no refunds after this date. All cancellations must be received in writing by 6:00 pm on December 21. Please email us at

If a camper is not behaving in accordance with camp safety, policies and expectations, the camper may be dismissed from the remainder of the session(s) without refund.


Online Registration will open on Thursday, November 16th at 9:00am PST.

Camper Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Campers must have a parent or authorized person sign them in and out each day. All authorized pick-up people must be designated on your online registration account and may be required to show a photo ID at time of pick-up. You may add any additional authorized persons on your account for camper pick-up after registration. You can also add names manually to the list at sign-in on Tuesday mornings.

Note: Drop-Off and Pick-Up are located at Arrillaga Center for Sports and Recreation at Outdoor Education and Recreation Center at 341 Galvez Street. Please note that parking rules will be enforced during camp hours so parking without a permit or paid meter could result in a ticket. You must park at the designated parking areas which will be given to you prior to camp. Failure to comply will result in cancelation of your camper.

Drop off and pick up may change due to construction. In the event of changes, we will update this website and send you information by email before your session starts with updated parking information.


Our camps are designed for children interested in multiple sports with a curriculum of numerous hybrid games along with sports such as soccer, basketball, kickball, and more. This Winter Camp will also include bouldering in our state-of-the-art climbing gym!

Campers are grouped by age/grade for morning activities and by interest in the afternoon.

Most activities will be in the ACSR using gym space and fitness studio.

Camp Staff

Our staff consists primarily of college students, athletes and outstanding local high school student athletes as well. We are committed to providing a safe, fun and memorable camp experience. The counselor to camper ratio is a maximum of 8:1 on the field.

Registering for Camp

How do I register for Camps?

Follow the link on our most current Camp page here. When space is full, campers will be placed on a waitlist in the order applications were received.

How do I pay for Camp? Can I cancel my registration?

Full payment for all programs as well as extended care and any additional financial options is due upon enrollment. $75 per camp week is considered a non-refundable deposit.

Changes to and/or withdrawals from camp sessions, including extended care, are subject to a $15 administrative fee per change.

Program changes are dependent upon space availability.

Why are 5 year olds not included in All Sports Camp?

We have found that most 5 year olds are not ready for the full day camp environment. We want all campers to have the best camp experience possible so they want to continue in the future with sports and camps. We have determined that 6 year olds are consistently ready for camp and can adapt to our camp setting most successfully. Enrolling campers that are camp ready helps ensure positive experiences for all campers.

Can you group my child with his friend?

Yes, usually. Please email us at after you register to request the grouping.

Please note, on the interest of keeping things fun (it is CAMP after all!), we like to accommodate such requests. Sometimes, however, for personnel or behavioral reasons, we may choose to separate a pack of friends. Please note that campers are grouped by grade in the morning sessions and offered free choice in the afternoon.

I am only available for one day of Camp. Can I pay for just one day at a time?

When we allow for a camper to enroll for one day of camp, we’re taking away a spot from a camper that may have come for the whole week. Because of this, staffing requirements, and other factors we do not pro-rate our Camp weeks.

Other things to note for Camp Cardinal 2018:

  • There are no refunds after Friday, May 25, 2018.
  • There will be no reduction or refund of fees for camp programs or extended care because of absence, illness, suspension/expulsion or withdrawal due to changes in family circumstances during camp sessions.
  • No partial enrollment or proration is available.
  • Please allow up to 3 weeks for refunds to be processed.
  • All requests for refunds must be received in writing to the camp office by 6:00 pm on Friday, May 25, 2018.


Unless otherwise specified in writing, the undersigned give permission for photos and video to be taken for future brochures, or published anonymously on Stanford Recreation website, or other online sites without compensation.

Additional Camp Policies

Programs are subject to cancellation based on camper enrollment. Programs may be changed.

Late Pick Up

If your child is not picked up at the pick-up time you registered for, a late fee will be assessed. Campers that are not picked up after the 4:00 pm or 6:00 pm pick up periods will be placed in Extended Care and charged according to the equivalent of one day in that program. If a child is not picked up at 6:00 pm they will be charged according to the following scale:

1-15 Minutes…$15

16-25 minutes…$25

26-35 minutes…$35

Campers that are continually picked up late may be withdrawn from the camp program.

What if I am traveling from outside of the U.S. only for the summer? Can my child attend Camp?

All international campers are required to have a good understanding of English language. Unfortunately we do not have interpreters on staff and all campers need to be able to listen to and follow instructions from staff in order for them to stay safe (safety first – then fun!). Campers will be sent home from Camp if they cannot follow instructions and respond to counselors and other campers.”


The Week of Camp

What is the policy regarding early drop off or late pick up?

For staffing and planning purposes, it is important that you arrive at the appropriate times for drop off and pick up.

Morning Care (8:00 – 9:00) Drop-Off: If you are enrolled in Morning Care, you may drop off your camper as early as 8:00 am.

Core Program (9:00 – 4:00): Core Program drop-off begins at 8:45 a.m – 9:30 a.m. Please respect our other campers by dropping off by 9:30 a.m. So that we can start our program on time without interruptions. It can be very disruptive and challenging to get campers to various program locations when campers repeatedly arrive late.

Pick-Up for the end of the day runs from 3:45 –4:10 p.m. If you do not pick-up your child by 4:15 P.M they will be put in Afternoon care for the day and charged accordingly.

Afternoon Care (4:00 - 6:00) Pick-Up: If you are late for registered pick up time (i.e. after 4:10 PM without registering for post-camp supervision), you will be charged for the post-camp supervision. If you arrive after 5: 00 or 6:00 p.m. for pick up, additional charges will apply as reviewed in the ‘Additional Camp Policies’ section above. Please respect our counselors and their personal time by arriving on time for pick up and allowing them to leave work on time just as they arrive on time ready to work and play with your children each day!

Repeated incidents of drop off after 9:30a.m. and/or pick up after 6:00 p.m. may result in dismissal from future camp participation during current or future sessions.

Can my camper arrive late or leave early for a doctor’s or other appointment?

If you need to schedule an appointment for your camper, we recommend doing so early or late in the day for easier drop off and pick up. If you have to miss at all, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing Let your camper’s group leader know about the appointment at check in the day before the appointment so they can give you the location of the camper’s group at your expected arrival or departure time or the contact information to reach them.

When will I receive a Packet with all of the relevant information about Camp?

The Wednesday prior to your program starting you will receive a parent packet via email with additional program information and camp policies.

Can my child bring an iPod or other portable electronic devices?

We strongly discourage campers from bringing electronic games, music players, cell phones, and other electronic devices. Not only are they vulnerable to being taken, forgotten and broken, they discourage personal interaction and participation. Campers that bring electronic devices and accessories, do so at their own risk. If campers do bring these items, counselors will ask that they keep these devices in their bags and out of sight throughout the camp day. We want campers to interact with each other and the counselors while being active for the best camp experience possible!

What should my child bring to camp?

Please label everything so we can more easily return it to you if it is left behind:

  • A bag or backpack
  • SUNBLOCK! Please apply sunblock in morning before drop off and we will remind campers to reapply throughout the day.
  • Hat
  • Book, comic book, coloring book or other item for down time after lunch (please no iPods, cell phones or electronic games – we don’t want them to be lost or taken!)
  • Lunch every day. We will provide a pizza lunch on Fridays, but recommend that snacks are still packed in case children decide not to eat pizza that day, or have allergies etc that prevent them from doing so.
